Tell me a bit about yourself? What do you do at BPD etc.
I have worked at BPD for 10 years, starting in the Support Team and moving into Project Delivery and Consultancy before forming the Product Development Team in 2016. I now manage a small team who work on productizing BPDs Industry Solutions and looking after the MaxiCloud and LoveYourAsset offerings as well as work with Partners and IBM on integrating products into MaxiCloud.
Share a time where you supported and nurtured or shared your knowledge and expertise with the Maximo Community?
As part of the role within Product Development, it is often the case that I am learning new technologies. A few years ago I worked on bringing IoT device messages into Maximo and learned how to do this in a batch process, I wrote about this on the Maximo Community Site to help another community member having the same issue. Later, when coming to implement this for a client, I searched the community and found that the answer I was looking for was for was provided by me (and it worked a treat!).
What does being an IBM Champion 2022 mean to you?
To me, being an IBM Champion is recognition from a company I have worked closely with for many years. It’s an honour to be part of a community of individuals that are experts in their field and are happy to help others along the way.
