AWS Cloud Engineer (Global Infrastructure Team)
Due to continued growth, BPD Zenith is looking for 2 AWS Cloud Engineers to join our Global Infrastructure Team with a passion for working on innovative technologies and driving continuous improvement.
The Global Infrastructure Team are responsible for providing a first-class Cloud Infrastructure for our MaxiCloud Enterprise Asset Management solution to our clients around the World.
The team is responsible for managing and maintaining the existing processes and tooling used to manage our infrastructure. We are also charged with designing new tools and processes as we transition our clients to the newer version of our product.
We also work alongside our Geo Sales, Delivery and Support teams to deploy new and maintain existing client infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to:
- Support the investigation and adoption of new and emerging cloud architecture practices and technologies.
- Review existing infrastructure and practices and identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
- Simplify and reinvent systems, processes, and toolkits to bring improvements for our internal teams and customers.
- Creation of easily understood documentation for internal to BPD support/development and security teams.
- Participate in the On-Call rota.
Required Skills
-
1+ years recent, demonstrable AWS cloud engineer and implementation experience.

Exposure to and knowledge of the AWS Well-Architected framework.

Strong understanding of cloud services and infrastructure components (IAAS/PAAS).

Excellent documentation skills across technical and operational process areas.
-
Strong time and task management with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects.
-
Container orchestration, Red Hat OpenShift preferred.
-
Object-Oriented Programming (e.g. Python, Java) [Python preferred].
-
Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Google Cloud Deployment Manager, etc.) [Terraform preferable].

Configuration management (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet) [Ansible preferable].

Managing Linux environments (Debian-based, Red Hat-based).

Source control (e.g. GitHub) and Issue tracking (e.g. Jira).

Cybersecurity practices and Compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001).
Desirable Skills
-
Scalable architecture and Site reliability engineering (SRE) concepts.

Automated CI/CD processes (e.g. Jenkins) and Database management (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).

Networking principles and Environment monitoring and Managing Windows environments.

Serverless architectures.
-
Knowledge of IBM Maximo and MAS Portfolios is desirable, but training will be given.

Salary
£40 - £55K per annum dependent on experience (plus a discretionary performance-related bonus)
